Evening Sewing Skills
A course to improve your sewing skills
Suitable for beginners and improvers.
Beginners will use ‘easy’ fabrics such as cotton and linen.
Improvers will use ‘difficult’ fabrics such as chiffon, satin and knits

All lessons are from 7.00-9.30

You will learn:
Cutting, sewing and pressing techniques to produce:
• SEAMS - flat, french, flat fell, welt, curved
• DARTS - single point, double point, curved
• TUCKS AND PLEATS - pin tucks, knife/box/inverted pleats
• ZIPS - lapped, invisible and exposed
• FACINGS - fusible interfacing, clipping and under-stitching for a round neck
• HEMS - Narrow, deep, and hand-sewn hems
You will need to bring a sewing machine.
We have a pop-up shop each week at eBay prices where you can purchase
tools, equipment and fabrics or you may bring your own.
